This was a one off event but there are lots more BarCamps around the UK. There is BarCamp Blackpool this weekend (http://barcampblackpool.com/) and BarCampLondon (http://nine.barcamplondon.o... at the end of the month.

Re: When & Where

I have neen notified of your Barcamp events and want to know when the next one is planned for?

Re: Sponsor announcement: Indigo Clothing provides T-Shirts

@Alistair MacDonald The shirts just have the barcamp media city logo on - no branding from us or anyone else

Re: All you need to know

thanks to all for the effort in preparing the event is an amazing opportunity for bar camp media city and the world and me!looking forward to a really good weekend with lots happening, and maybe ill even offer a presentation on campaigning.

Re: Sponsor announcement: Indigo Clothing provides T-Shirts

Yes, tea is essential :-)

Re: Sponsor announcement: Indigo Clothing provides T-Shirts

I was doing so well at not saying just that trying not to rock the boat and then you go and do it. Naturally I thank Indigo for giving the t-shirts, assuming we don't turn in to walking billboards, but my favourite BarCamps over the years have not had custom t-shirts. To me the essential part of a BarCamp is the people and the freedom for them to communicate. I will also add tea to that list or Caz will kill me. Anything else can be good or bad, but is not essential.

Re: Sponsor announcement: Indigo Clothing provides T-Shirts

True. Personally, I got for the talks and meeting people. Schwag is a nice to have, but I would not put that above oth things.

Re: Only 8 days remaining…

What's the way of getting on the waiting list? Manchester Jelly is launching the Friday after this BarCamp so we'd love to plug our launch and continued events. We're a free event so don't have any money, but since Jellies have the same spirit as BarCamp's (co-working, informal sharing of expertise, space and time for casual connections) we're hoping we can be sponsors for free?!

Please contact me to discuss further: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Re: BarCampMediaCityUK tickets wave 2

Ah Alistair, we told certain people times and dates and told them to spread it through there networks... but thanks for stating the obvious :)

Re: BarCampMediaCityUK tickets wave 2

I hope you don't mind me stating the obvious, but unless you are going to let people know when they need to log in you are going to prioritise people who spend lots of time in front of the computer, and that in fact reduced the diversity of the turnout.

Re: When & Where

David this is a unique one off...
